I logged on to tumblr today to see that 13 people left a “note” on that old picture post of mine. I nearly always have to explain my ethnicity whenever someone makes a comment about my eyes. I don’t mind. I kind of am left with this warm and fuzzy feeling !

Today we went to the flea market. I am not ashamed! I am an eccentric old woman! This is what I found:

I really like the ornate carvings on the jewelry box. It’s not too feminine. I’m sure Matt can find use for it for his cards! The vintage necklace was only $9.00 CAN. Two of my favourite things – pearls and cameos.

Be honest. Do you really like the look of these trendy shoes? I find them to be quite horrendous. A friend of a friend wore these when we were out for sushi and I just could not stop staring. It reminded me of something similar I wore while I was doing garden work when I lived in the States. Since when did gardening become a fashion ?

I think I must be getting boreder (and I created a whole new word! ) . If anyone would like to offer to keep me entertained, I’d consider all invitations. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder (a favorite quote of my husband’s ) so by my calculations you should all be mildly pleased to see my happy face and hear my wonderfully posh tones – except you can’t. This is a blog.

Just to bore you all, and maybe weird you out further, as it makes me feel better, I’m going to mention the dream that I had last night. Any interpretations would be more than welcome:

My father and I were out in the middle of the countryside in a lime green Chevy. The whole place was flooded and so we decided to go to a car wash for some reason . Anyway, next thing I know, I’m in a hospital wandering round, with no sign of my parents but many people who I seem to know. Anywho, there’s a really bitchy girl and we have an argument . I got for a chat in the grounds with some guy. We almost run away, end up by a lake and a manor house (also part of the weird hospital) before I get a call on my iphone from Matt saying that I have to go back.

Hmmm, maybe it’s because of the awful cold I’ve been suffering from. Tell me your thoughts.

Hello. Since this is my very first blog post, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marlénè, but you may call me “Lanie” . I am currently 25, Canadian, and feeling downright spoiled. My husband bought me this domain as an early Christmas present! I will be blogging at this domain from here on out. I love cupcakes and sweet things. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine. I enjoy listening to trip-hop while playing Pokémon on my pink DS lite, dancing in the rain that always seems to fall here in Vancouver , and I find all of my latest fashions at a thrift store. Life for me might sound boring, but to me it is just plain grand. I live with my husband ♥ , some guy named Chris, a bearded dragon, & two dogs in the city of Vancouver BC, Canada.
