I finally got around to updating my iPhone. I had no idea that there had been such a major update if Matt hadn’t got around to telling me about it. That’s how far behind on the times I am. It’s embarrassing, but I am just now learning how to use itunes . Thankfully there is Matt to tell me how everything works, and Chris who dumbs Matt’s rather lengthy explanations down so I can understand what I need to do. Thanks guys! Sorry I’m such a technological idiot !
Lately I have been listening to a lot of Portishead. It’s a trip hop band with music that I find to be really soothing, especially when it’s raining outside. You can listen to some samples on their last.fm page.

Speaking of updates, I also upgraded my site to WordPress 2.8. I really like the sleek appearance of the dashboard, but unfortunately some of my plugins just don’t work anymore. That’s fine. I’m always patient (and often ignorant ) for new releases, so hopefully the makers of these plugins with upgrade them soon!

I feel like I could use a total makeover once I can afford it. I’m considering adding a few highlights to my hair. Maybe a few blond and red streaks? I think it could be pretty. In August, Chris’ father is giving me a discount on a tattoo session. I’m pretty stoked about that. I’m thinking maybe a half sleeve or a chest piece. Chris suggest cherry blossoms, but I’m not sure if that’s quite what I want. Anyway, I have enough time before August to decide, and folders upon folders of tattoo flash to sort through.

I realize that it has been a little while since my last posting. Life has been a little bit busy for all of us here in the apartment of “The Streets”. Chris (or Christabel as we affectionately call him), our closet troll room mate has become enamored with his new cell phone. Unfortunately, he can record videos with it .

I’ll just stick with my iPhone 3G, thank you very much (Yeah, I am a douche bag) !

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend . Mine was a real blast! Matt and I went to his mother’s house and I got to have a nice chat with his family. I had some of the best turkey & stuffing… cake too, but I still miss my grandmother’s honey baked ham and the lamb shaped coconut cake we have for Grandfather’s birthday every April . I know I will see them next year, so it’s all good!

Last Friday my friends and I went to Lynn Canyon and hiked about 3 kilometers for over three hours in the snow- yes, snow. As we went up the mountain trail the snow kept getting higher and higher until an old man told us to turn back. It was amazing, but now I am so sore …

On Saturday we went swimming- quite a change, eh? I got to relax my tired and aching muscles in the hot tub and watch my husband and our friends dive off of a super high diving board. I really cannot wait until the water slide park opens up in the summer. It will be so much fun! I hope to do a lot of things this year, namely going on a camping trip with friends, getting nice and tan, maybe even going fishing! I really cannot wait.

I am so tired and sore today. I think a nice hot relaxing soak in the tub is in order .

I have so many clothes that I need to iron.

Judgment Night is a pretty neat movie. It is about 5 guys that get lost in downtown Chicago in an RV and are chased by the mafia. I watched it in an RV on the way to Chicago once. That was pretty creepy .

My husband, Matt spoils me so rotten . I am rotten to the core. No lie.

Emily Dickinson was a freak. Brilliant, but a freak nonetheless . I once had to write a paper on her.

I hated Twilight and all the other books in Stephenie Meyer’s series – yes sadly, I read them all. I honestly do not understand all the hype over it, or the rude comments that a rabid fan twit will most likely leave here because I do not share the same opinion as everyone else who does .

I love trip-hop ♪. Chris is a horrible influence on us all.

I wish I had a best friend who shared the same interests as I do, other than Matt. Namely someone who I could hang out with and not feel so awkward to be around .
