I finally installed the Livejournal cross over plugin, thanks to Cetta ♥ ! This is what I love the most about WordPress. It’s so versatile, yet tricky . Hopefully, all of my entries written on my blog will be cross posted over to my old Livejournal account.

Shelby bought a pet uromastyx over the weekend. We helped him with his tank that the Edwards so graciously donated . Here is a picture!

Sasha’s big day

Today was Sasha’s big day! As Chris and I piled into the taxi with Sasha, I had to do a double take and look at the cab driver’s awesome hat. Our driver was apparently Rastafarian, and not only did he have an amazing hat, he was blaring reggae tunes on the radio the entire trip to the vet. After Chris and I dropped Sasha off at the vet, we met up with my husband for sushi for lunch We ended up going to Lush to pick up a gift for a friend and a cake of “Ring of Roses” soap. I really love the scent and it feels wonderful on my skin! I fell asleep almost immediately after Chris and I got home. So much for a decent sleeping schedule? Oh well. Sasha’s surgery went well! Now you get to see her in all of her cone glory!!!

Tomorrow we’re taking Sasha, my six month old Pomeranian puppy, to the vet to be spayed . According to cfhs.ca , Every year thousands of pets find their way to Canadian shelters because there are more pets than available homes. Many of these pets are bred by pet-owners who are not responsible enough to spay/neuter their pets. Some of them believe they can find good homes for the young animals and intend to spay/neuter their pet after the first litter, but the vast majority of these pets end up in a shelter. And for every animal that does find a home, the pet that could have been adopted to that home from a shelter is euthanized because no home could be found for him. There is no good reason to not spay or neuter your pet. Spaying refers to the surgical removal of the ovaries of a female so she cannot reproduce. Neutering refers either to the surgical removal of the ovaries of a female or the testicles of a male so they cannot reproduce. The process is also called “fixing” or “sterilizing” and is a safe and common practice performed with an anesthetic. Let’s hope Sasha’s surgery goes well!
